PROCESS

At Tika B. Interior Design, we adhere to a customized design process.
After our initial meeting, we generally follow the procedure outlined below:

STEP ONE – GETTING TO KNOW THE CLIENT

  • In-depth meeting with the client in their home to discuss requirements and wishes for the space as well as to gain a sense of the client’s overall style and taste
  • Measure, photograph and draft floorplan(s) for the space
  • Develop and present a cohesive design concept with furniture plan(s), color scheme(s) and overall feel and tone for the interior

STEP TWO – OBTAINING THE COMPONENTS

  • Research, identify and shop furniture, fabrics and finishes for the approved design plan
  • If applicable, obtain estimates from craftsmen and contractors for all construction, painting and wall covering work

STEP THREE – IMPLEMENTING THE FINAL DESIGN

  • Manage acquisition of all furniture and construction materials, including ordering, payment and supervision of delivery
  • Schedule work, coordinate and oversee all improvements by craftsmen and contractors through daily site visits
  • Handle all aspects of design work and implementation until work is complete and the design is installed to the client’s satisfaction
